XVIII National Conference of the Spanish Society for Comparative Education (SEEC), to be held in Valencia between 11-14 December 2023, is aimed at researchers, teachers and professionals in the field of education, social sciences and civil society whose purpose is to improve the educational system by contributing to the development of its democratic and inclusive character through educational research and practice.

• Comparative analysis of different international competence frameworks (EU, CoE, UNESCO, OECD, OEI...) together with EU and international experts.
• Reflection on educational policies and the development of a democratic culture.
• "Good practices" in the development of Competencies for a Democratic Culture (CDC).
• Presentation of the educational work of the EU, the CoE and other international institutions “in the development of a democratic culture".
